We want to see our churches across Beverley Deanery growing in faith, service, and confidence. We aim to become more like Christ, reach those we currently don’t, and grow as missionary disciples. We are committed to working together to renew and reimagine church life in our parishes and for the people of Beverley and surrounding villages
OUR COMMUNITY OF CHURCHES
Beverley Deanery includes 18 Church of England parishes in Beverley and the surrounding villages. Each church is unique, but together we serve a population of over 40,000 people. Our community spans town and rural contexts, historic buildings and new housing areas, long-standing congregations and fresh initiatives. Together, we are discovering new ways to be faithful, hopeful, and outward-looking. We are part of the Church of England Diocese of York
WHAT WE DO
We support one another across parishes through prayer, shared ministry, and collaborative projects. From contemporary worship and school chaplaincy to rural outreach, our work spans worship, learning, pastoral care, and mission. We are actively developing new worshipping communities, and sharing skills and resources to meet the challenges of ministry today.
EVERYDAY FAITH
Everyday Faith is about where and how we encounter God as we go about our lives. Where is God during our daily lives? How do we find God in the fullness of everyday life? Whether you wish to develop your faith or support others in theirs, Everyday Faith is designed to support you in your life discipleship or vocational journey.
Faith is connecting with the God who holds all things together. So, faith is found in our joys and cares, in our challenges and conflicts as we lean into God’s presence and guidance. Faith informs our thinking and our actions as we discern how God might be using us in his work. Faith is an ongoing encounter with God. Faith is our everyday existence with the God who holds all things together.
