Job Opportunity – Empowerment Worker


Hope into Action is a National Christian charity which provides housing and support for the homeless and vulnerable in partnership with local Churches. The Beverley  franchise, working with Churches Together in Beverley.  It operates one house in Beverley.

We are looking for someone to join our Beverley team for up to 12 hours a week as an Empowerment Worker. Salary is £26436 p.a. pro rata.


As an Empowerment Worker you will  be supporting our tenants who have been homeless and/or vulnerable and in need of support. Tenants may be singles or families with support needs and you would empower them towards independent living and a fulfilled life.

For this role, you would be someone with a passion for the homeless and/or the vulnerable and our Christian values. You will need to be able to work with tenants with support needs, including poor mental health, domestic violence, past offending, care leavers and drug and alcohol dependency issues. We value good listening skills. The ability to work in a flexible team and learn new skills is important as we foster working within a strong supportive team.
